Every year during Women’s History Month, we pick a new initiative to sponsor that helps women and girls achieve their goals of freedom. In the past, we have created events that allow others to donate to including musical scholarships, Girls Rock Philly, Planned Parenthood, and LL charities.
This year, we’ve decided to commit our efforts to fighting period insecurity. At the time, we knew the stats associated with period poverty, but we had no clue this was a policy issue in our own backyards. While all the product donations for this month will be going to “No More Secrets,” we are also creating a campaign around Period Poverty Awareness and urging Philadelpians to contact their local council members about adding feminine hygiene products to SNAP benefits.
Fall 2022 - 2023
Starting this fall, we are partnering with Black Girls with Green Thumbs to go on a Period Poverty School Tour providing young women with information regarding period insecurity, health and wellness tools, and supplying school nurses with ongoing feminine hygiene products and support.
June 2nd - August 30th
This summer, our goal is to host up to 4 events centered around period poverty with the goal of raising $2000, aimed at political advocacy and policy change.
March 8th - April 8th
Our initial goal for the first month is to provide 50 families with a year supply of feminine hygiene products. This includes pads, tampons, liners and wipes.

The SPOT Period
On February 20th, 2021, No More Secrets Mind Body Spirit Inc., proudly opened the nation's first menstrual hub, "The SPOT Period", located in Germantown Philadelphia, PA. all through crowd funding efforts.
The "SPOT"(Safety, Programing, Optimal Transformation) is equipped with offices, a reception area, computer room, storage space for menstrual supplies and a "Breonna Taylor" Safe room, graciously sponsored by Diva Cares International Inc. in addition to supplying a monthly donation of 200 Diva Menstrual cups. The goal of the Breonna Taylor room is to create a space to escape the dangers of the world experienced by so many marginalized women and girls. This room provides comfort and acceptance so they can show their vulnerability, allowing for authentic conversations and open-flow information sharing. The room has become the epicenter of educational seminars and panel discussions around normalizing menstrual cycles, health and hygiene, uterine care, proper usage of sustainable options such as menstrual cups, healthcare resources as well as life skills on budgeting and nutrition. In addition, crucial conversations are held about bodily autonomy, consent, healthy relationships as well as distributing cobranded First Period Kits provided by PERIOD. The Menstrual Movement, that include products for one cycle, printed education materials, a journal, and stickers all in a reusable bag.
